Frequently Asked Questions

We do provide treatment for some non-anxiety related difficulties. The best way to find out whether we may be able to assist you is by contacting us.

Sessions run for approximately 50 minutes. The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a fee of $300 for a 50-minute psychology consultation. To ensure accessibility to good quality and affordable health services, the fees charged by the practice has been reduced to $220 for a 50-minute session. If you have a valid referral the current gap for our practice is around $78 per session.

The practice offers a limited number of after hours appointments (5pm-6pm). The cost for an after hours appointment is $240.

We only accept credit or debit card payments – processed electronically.

We provide both face-to-face and online sessions.

  • Emergency or crisis appointments. If you require crisis assistance please call 1800 011 511 for the NSW mental health line.

  • Reports for court or legal proceedings.

You may be able to claim a rebate of $141.85. To receive this rebate you must be referred by a General Practitioner or a Psychiatrist under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Programme. If you would like, we are able to process Medicare rebates at the same time as your session fees. The rebate is paid directly to the bank account that you have provided Medicare.

We have a cancellation policy that reflects the time the Psychologist set aside for your appointment. A full fee is charged for sessions that are cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. A 50% fee is charged for sessions that are cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Cancellation fees cannot be claimed through Medicare or your health fund.

If you are covered for psychological services under your private health fund, you are entitled to claim for these services. The claimable amount per session, and number of sessions per calendar year, depends upon your private health care plan.

We are unable to process transactions with private health insurance. After the conclusion of each session, you can organise rebates with your insurance provider. You will be provided with an invoice after each session that has all the information you need to assist with this process.

Please also note that you cannot claim from Medicare and your health fund for the same consultation.
